SUMMARY:Lean Manufacturing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Over a period of two days\, this workshop highlights lean manufacturing and other related productivity improvement concepts\, reinforced by the simulation of a series of manual processes (typically representing production or office processes) by using hands-on and ‘learning by doing’ principles. \nSeveral ‘Runs’ will be conducted in the workshop\, with participants progressively improving each run by changing the simulation process according to the Lean principles introduced between each run. Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) will be measured for each run\, revealing quantitative improvements during the course of the Workshop. \nThe 2-Day Workshop will cover the following topics:\n· Waste reduction\n· Value stream mapping (VSM)\n· 5S workplace housekeeping and organisation\n· Teamwork\n· Set up reduction\n· Pull systems (kanbans)\n· Visual Performance Measurement (VPM)\n· Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)\n· Standard work\n· Focused Improvement \nThese leanings can then be implemented within individual businesses to improve and streamline output. \nThis event is designed for 2-3 key personnel from each business\, including the business owner\, GM\, CFO and/or managers to attend the two-day workshop. \nThis event is free of charge. \n
