DESCRIPTION:Matching jobs and training to jobseekers and career seekers. \nIf you are looking for opportunities in certified trades or construction\, whether it is as a currently skilled worker; or looking for information on training and further education pathways to get you job-ready\, this is the event for you. \nThe purpose of the Tradie and Construction Jobs Expo is to connect employers\, RTO’s and peak bodies with job-ready and job-willing individuals.  \nThe event will be an opportunity for providers to showcase their training opportunities targeted at those wanting to get a trade certificate in automotive\, construction\, civil or wet trade. \nThe event will also provide local businesses the opportunity to attract and recruit potential employees. \nFree for both exhibitors and attendees \nThis event is delivered as part of the Mayor’s Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce. Hosted by Logan Office of Economic Development / Logan City Council. \nRegister to attend or exhibit\n\n\nGetting to the Event\nLogan’s Tradie and Construction Jobs Expo will be held at the Logan Metro Sports and Entertainment Centre\, located on 357 Browns Plains Road\, Heritage Park\, 4118 \nLogan Metro Sports & Events Centre – Google Maps \nTravelling by car:\nFree parking is available at the Logan Metro Sports and Entertainment Centre. Take either the first left or right after you enter from Browns Plains Road. \nTravelling by Public Transit\nYou can get to Logan Metro Sports Complex by Bus or Train. These are the lines and routes that have stops nearby: Bus- 545 and 550 \nDisability Parking\nA limited number of Persons with a Disability (PWD) car parking spaces are available close to each entry gate for holders of a valid government-issued disability parking permit. These car parks will be issued to customers on a first come\, first served basis each event day. Please ensure your disability parking permit is visible for the carpark attendant to see.
