The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) project is essential infrastructure that will connect our growing communities with more frequent and reliable train services between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The project will remove a key capacity bottleneck on the network, unlock additional train services to address high growth in travel demand, and support the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The three major works packages for the LGC project have been awarded:
- Design and pre-construction contract for the LGC Rail Project (ActivUs Alliance, March 2025)
- Design and construction contract for the LGC Open Level Crossing Removal (OLCR) at Kuraby (Bielby Hull Joint Venture, September 2024)
- Construction contract for the related Loganlea Station Relocation project (Martinus Degnan Joint Venture, September 2024).
