This workshop will consider what it means to be running a business, especially as a sole trader, and what are tax obligations required, such as the need for an ABN, whether GST registration is needed, as well as the, as well as the rate of income tax. This workshop will explain:

• the ideas behind what is business income,
• what expenses are likely to be deductible, and
• superannuation obligations
