Logan residents and visitors now have another convenient way to get around, with HelloRide e-scooters and e-bikes officially launching across the City of Logan. An initial fleet of up to 250 e-scooters and 100 e-bikes have been rolled out in key locations across the city.

Logan City Council recently signed an agreement with Hello Bike Pty Ltd to operate HelloRide in the City of Logan for a 12-month trial.

HelloRide is the Australian arm of HelloBike, one of the world’s largest micromobility platform with more than 750 million users.

Some of Logan’s public transport challenges can be addressed by commercial operators offering alternative and regulated transport options that are safe and affordable.

The new service strengthens connectivity across the city, making short trips to public transport, shops, campuses and community facilities quicker and easier.

The rollout creates local jobs in operations, maintenance and customer support, with a Logan-based team and rapid-response protocols to keep streets tidy and safe. With the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the horizon, the launch adds another modern transport option to South-East Queensland’s growing micromobility network.

HelloRide’s newest fleet includes the Segway Max S90L e-scooter with AI sidewalk and pedestrian detection, real-time brake force monitoring, and high-brightness LEDs for additional visibility. Riders get a smoother trip with front dual suspension and a powerful motor, plus convenient NFC tap-to-unlock and integrated phone holder with wireless charging. Onboard geofencing and acoustic alerts guide safe speeds and tidy parking. Under the agreement, HelloRide will provide courtesy helmets and ensure all devices meet Australian safety standards.

We’re thrilled to launch our latest scooters and bikes in Logan, with new technology that prioritises safety and parking discipline to help residents get around smoothly. Our goal is to offer an affordable yet dynamic transport alternative that complements public transport and supports local business.

You can find HelloRide’s blue e-scooters and e-bikes across Logan by checking the HelloRide app map for available devices.

Riders are reminded to follow the rules: always wear a helmet, ride solo, stick to Queensland’s speed and riding laws, and finish by parking in a designated parking location with a quick end-of-ride photo. If you spot an issue, report it in the app or via 24/7 support.
