The Junction coworking space

New office space in Slacks Creek cornerstone of new mixed-use development

Last month LOED staff were invited to the opening of YoCo’s new coworking space in Slacks Creek. The Junction is a part of Churchill Development Group’s 200 Kingston redevelopment project.

Once the site of a used car yard, the site has undergone a $27 million facelift and is now tipped to become an economic hub.

The mixed-use site is set on the corner of Slacks Creek industrial precinct, and includes a United Petrol Fuel Station, Slim’s Quality Burger Drive Thru – one of the first in Queensland – as well as 10 other food and beverage tenancies and a barbershop, with five tenancies left to be filled.

Coworking space The Junction is a 1113sqm office facility with:

  • 56 Private Office Suites for 1-11 people
  • 40 secure underground carparks
  • 2 Meeting Rooms and 1 Boardroom
  • 24/7 Access for ultimate flexibility
  • Fully serviced office – high speed internet, cleaning, kitchen facilities including tea and coffee
  • Regular events and fully stocked kitchen with drinks and snacks
  • Access to other YOCO coworking sites for meeting rooms, breakout lounges, and common area facilities

The Junction offers an ideal workspace for a diverse range of businesses, including startups, sole traders, professional services, and other small enterprises seeking premium, hassle-free accommodation for both short and long-term needs.

Conveniently situated in the heart of Slacks Creek, it boasts excellent amenities and nearby services.

“We’re excited, given that it was an old car yard,” Churchill Development Group general manager Ben Bailey said.

“We have delivered something that is quite unique – it is not just a food convenience centre – with the office space, it has a business element.

“We’re looking at the services tenancies as well, whether it is beauty and massage or things like that to tie into it.”

Mr Bailey said the group viewed the development as an economic hub, with the offices able to house up to 250 people.

“… which we think Logan needs a bit more of,” he said.

“Especially along that street where there are still a lot of industrial, dirty old fuel stations and things like that.

“Mum and dad businesses are used to having much older tenancies within Logan, where this is a little different and allows them to showcase their business.”
