DESCRIPTION:The Export Council of Australia has developed a series of online courses for companies wanting to understand export documentation requirements and/or gain assistance in training their team in processing documentation correctly and efficiently. \n\nSeating Available: 15\nTime: 1.00—3.30 pm AEST\nLocation: The link to the online event is to be provided by the event organiser\nIndividual Workshop Price: $385\nAll three: $985\nECA members receive a 10% discount\n\nWho should attend: \nThis practical workshop is tailored specifically to companies wanting to upskill their team in export documentation requirements. Attend only the workshops that are of interest to you all attend all three. Contract of sale examples will be provided so learners can review and ask questions relevant to their business. You will learn: \n\nInternational Contracts of Sale\nIncoterms 2020\nRevision\n\nOur specialist trainer will also review the newly released Incoterms 2020 and explain exactly what they are\, the rules surrounding them and the importance of using them correctly. \nWant more? We’re inviting an experienced exporter to the session. They will also be discussing the above topics\, sharing best practices and answering all those questions you’ll bring along that are relevant to your business. \n\n  \nExport Documentation and Procedures –  Wednesday\, 31 May 2023\nAbout this workshop: \nThis workshop will cover the following documents: \n\nDocuments required by Australian Authorities\nTransport Documents\nSpecialist Documents\nCommercial Documents\nDocuments required by Importing Countries\n\nThis component of the course is intensive\, so provides plenty of examples and recommendations on what is required. \nJust as important is costing for export\, so we will break this down to cover the many costs incurred\, best practices to ensure correct quotation moving forward plus definitions\, costs associated and things to consider – this workshop also provides a practical exercise to encourage knowledge retention. \nAnd finally\, we have invited an experienced exporter to join us and discuss what advice they can provide when it comes to managing the document process and mistakes to look out for in your business. There will be plenty of time for questions and don’t forget to bring along any documents that are relevant to your business! \n\n  \nInternational Payment Documentation – Thursday\, 1 June 2023\nAbout this workshop: \n\nInternational payment documentation (includes a lesson on letters of credit)\nRisk Management\nRevision\nGuest speaker: Learn top tips from a banking specialist\n\nOne of the most asked questions is how to make sure you get paid – and so it should be! Today’s payment workshop is combined with risk management making it a must for all exporters – with only 12 spots available this will fill up fast. \nUnderstanding what methods of payment are available to you is vital to the success of any business\, therefore the following four methods of collecting payment will be explained in full: \n\nPrepayment\nOpen Account\nDocumentary Collection (sight or term)\nDocumentary Letter of Credit (DC)\n\nWe’ll also discuss what risk is involved across international payment and logistics\, so learners gain confidence and know what to look out for when supporting these areas of the business. \nTo help gain a different perspective and ensure you’re across these areas will be zooming in on an international trade bank specialist to discuss the latest trends and answer any questions you may have about these areas.
