DESCRIPTION:A workshop for Queensland defence SMEs and supply-chain businesses eligible or preparing to apply for a Defence Industry Development Grant. \n\n\n\n\nDelivered by Buzzworks | ODIS in attendance \nHelp your defence business strengthen its competitiveness and improve its chances of securing Commonwealth funding through the Defence Industry Development Grant (DIDG) program. \nThis interactive\, practical workshop is designed for Queensland defence SMEs and supply‑chain businesses seeking to develop strong\, compliant and compelling DIDG grant applications. Led by experienced defence and grants practitioners from Buzzworks\, the session demystifies the DIDG process and provides participants with tools\, templates and insights to lift application quality and success rates. \nThe workshop will cover: \n\nan overview of the Defence Industry Development Grant (DIDG) program and its four funding streams (Sovereign Industrial Priorities\, Skilling\, Exports and Security)\nunderstanding eligibility criteria and how applications are assessed\nhow to align your project with Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities and DIDG objectives\npractical guidance on drafting clear\, persuasive project narratives and outcomes\nbest‑practice approaches to grant writing versus sales and capability pitching\nbudgeting\, milestones\, attachments and common compliance pitfalls to avoid\ninsights into Queensland’s DIDG performance and what successful applications do differently\naccess to sample application templates\, project budget tools and assessment checklists\n\nParticipants will also hear from ODIS (Office of Defence Industry Support)\, providing insights to the function of ODIS and the advisory\, guidance and mentoring services available to SMEs. \nMorning tea will be provided. \nPlaces are limited to ensure an interactive learning environment.
