Neumann Steel has commenced development of a new facility at Yarrabilba, Queensland, marking a significant investment in the company’s manufacturing footprint and its long-standing commitment to Southeast Queensland.

With demand rising across Southeast Queensland, the Yarrabilba development will strengthen Neumann Steel’s local capability, lift service delivery, create employment opportunities and underpin long-term growth.

“By expanding at Yarrabilba, we’re improving how we serve our customers – bringing production and distribution closer to the communities we supply, boosting reliability, and helping deliver the homes, jobs and infrastructure that will help shape Southeast Queensland’s future,” said Kathy Bartley, General Manager Neumann Steel.

“Working alongside Stockland and Rycon Constructions, this project has been carefully planned to support Neumann Steel’s growth and the region’s long-term development” said Paul Watson, National Projects Manager, Neumann Steel.

To mark the major milestone Tate Ryan, Manager, Economic Development and Jason Singh Sandhar, Senior Business Development Executive from the City of Logan, plus Andrew Erzetich Senior Development Manager from Stockland, and representatives from Rycon Constructions and Sparc Architects, joined Directors and Executive Managers from Neumann Steel to officially break ground.

Mayor Jon Raven, City of Logan said: “This is what growth looks like for our city: local jobs, new investment, and more chances for people to work close to home. Neumann Steel has helped build homes and projects across South East Queensland for years. Now they’re choosing Logan, and that says a lot about our city and where we’re heading. This development represents a significant investment, delivering a modern 4,340-square-metre facility on a 12,000-square-metre industrial site and creating valuable local job opportunities. We want Logan to be a place where you can live, work, and have a great quality of life.”

Stockland, the master developer, welcomes Neumann Steel’s new facility, viewing it as continued support for regional growth.

“Neumann Steel’s future operations within the Stockland Yarrabilba Business Park are a strong fit, with the business well aligned to the ongoing residential and commercial growth planned for Yarrabilba and the broader Logan region”, said Andrew Erzetich, Senior Development Manager.

Construction at Yarrabilba is now underway, with the new facility set to play a key role in supporting future growth across the precinct and broader community.

Projects like this highlight Yarrabilba’s growing appeal as a location for industrial and manufacturing investment and its role in supporting the region’s long term economic growth. We congratulate Neumann Steel on reaching this milestone and look forward to the positive impact this facility will deliver.
